LBIO (National Agency for Maintenance Contributions)
A public institution that collects maintenance payments from obligated persons in case of non-payment.
The LBIO is an independent administrative body that can collect maintenance from the obligated person at the request of the person entitled to maintenance. The LBIO can seize wages, benefits and assets. The costs are charged to the non-payer. The LBIO acts in both spousal and child maintenance cases.
