Child Protection Board

A government organization that advises the court on the child's interest in family law cases.

The Child Protection Board is a government organization under the Ministry of Justice and Security. The Board advises the court, solicited and unsolicited, on matters such as custody, access, residence and child protection measures. The Board investigates the child's situation and issues advice to the court. The Board can also independently submit requests to the court, for example for a supervision order or out-of-home placement.
